Let me clarify before you judge me. This does not mean I watch Housewives of Orange County, The Bachelor, or Big Brother (is that show still on??).
I have always loved to watch shows that involve creativity, talent, and skill. I’ve always loved to cook, so I’m easily drawn into shows like Food Network Star, Master Chef, Chopped, and Hell’s Kitchen. You can bet those are on my DVR. I watched my first season of So You Think You Can Dance a few years ago and really forgot about it until this season came back on. I’m pulling for Caitlyn & Mitchell big time. Check out one of my favorite dances with the music by Adele. What’s not to love?
Lastly, I have always loved to sing, and have been fortunate to be gifted with a voice from my parents. (Shout out to my mom for having her own album!) It’s really been a calling from God to use my gift, because I literally don’t like to do ANYTHING ELSE involving a stage. I probably couldn’t even get up and introduce myself without sounding confused or nervous. The minute I start singing my nerves go away and I remember that it’s only because of Him that I can share my gift.
That being said I’ve always loved American Idol and have recently been drawn to the unique competition provided on The Voice… AND: I just happened to sign up to audition for The Voice in one month!!! Mike talked me into it, and though I’ve had MANY thoughts of backing out, I think it’ll be a really fun experience and I’d love to just say I tried. I wanted to share a clip of my favorite from The Voice this season, JAVIER COLON. He is insanely talented and deserves to win!!
