If you read an earlier post about taking pictures in the snow, you would know that people kept pulling over to see if I needed to ride. I absolutely DID NOT, because well, I was in heaven. Everywhere I drove I saw a picture in the making.
On my way to to Indianapolis last Friday night to see my best friend Julie, I passed this field that was filled with bales of hay…covered in snow. I instantly thought, I WISH IT WERE SUNSET. I kept driving, thinking for several minutes that I had wasted a perfectly good shot.
The next night, I was driving back and the sunset was AMAZING. I wanted to pull over where I was to get a picture, but I remembered that field… and I kept driving…praying that I would make it there before the sun set. While the sun was barely still visible along the horizon I saw the bales of hay in the distance. I quickly pulled over, walked through the ditch of snow that went up to the top of my boots, and started shooting in pure happiness.
