Yesterday was once of craziest drives I have had from SC to OH. The weather was all over the map from sun, to pouring rain, sleet and snow in the mountains, and finally finishing with a couple hours in the dark. Not to mention that my Tom Tom GPS didn’t recognize a road and proceeded to take me on a 40 mile detour. I was still 2 1/2 hours from my parents home and had no clue where I was. Any side road I tried to turn onto was not plowed and I had to wait 10 miles to even turn around and backtrack. Not fun after I’d already been driving for 7 hours and was making good time despite the weather.
But, it was worth it. I get to see my family this week and I kicked off my vacation by driving around and taking pictures in the snow. I grabbed my camera and jumped out of the car, landing in snow up to my knees. One lady driving by me asked if I was lost or needed help and I simply held up my camera and smiled. Because this is what I was getting in this winter wonderland….
